Employees host first-ever Nissan INSIDERS Cars and Coffee event

Employees host first-ever Nissan INSIDERS Cars and Coffee event

Special to The Canton News

Local car enthusiasts and Nissan Canton plant employees joined together on a recent Saturday for the first Cars & Coffee event, hosted by the Nissan employees INSIDERS group. The free event brought together more than 200 car enthusiasts from across the community to feature their classic, exotic, and collector cars and bikes.

“I am ecstatic about the turnout for Cars and Coffee this weekend. The car community definitely came out in full force to support it, and everyone had a really great time,” said Morgan Thompson, Nissan engineer and employee INSIDER. “I was going to be happy if 50 cars showed up, so having over 200 cars more than exceeded my expectations. There is obviously a demand for this kind of event, and I think this is an opportunity for Nissan to contribute. The diversity of the cars surprised me the most - we had a little bit of everything show up, and that was exciting!”

The INSIDERS is a community of Nissan U.S. employee ambassadors who believe in the company’s corporate purpose and share their pride both internally and externally by demonstrating NISSAN WAY values. The INSIDERS employee ambassador program aims to engage, empower and enable its members with special access to executives and exclusive opportunities.
