The Canton Academy Student Council held a food drive for Madison Countians Allied Against Poverty (MadCAAP) recently. They challenged each class in grades 6-12 to compete to bring in the most items. The class winner was the ninth grade. These freshmen will choose between an ice cream party or a dress down day as a reward for their contribution to the community.
Class presidents Paxton Hunt, Ava Hughes, Harper Lampkin, Mary Alice Holmes and Emily Dearman helped to deliver the goods to MadCAAP. MadCAAP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to assisting families living in poverty.
