Special to The Canton News
Seniors in Ms. Moseley’s advanced biology class at Canton Academy recently completed their dissection lab series focused on Kingdom Animalia. As part of the unit, students dissected perch, bullfrogs and fetal pigs to examine and identify both internal and external anatomical features.
The lab work serves as the foundation for a comparative analysis essay that students will now be required to write, using their observations and findings from the dissections.
Senior Amelia Rose Cook is pictured participating in the lab.
The dissection unit marks the culmination of the class's study of animal biology and is a key hands-on component of the Advanced Biology curriculum.
