The Pine Grove Association is proud to host the Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Canton, Mississippi, from Thursday, June 19 through Saturday, June 21, 2025. This powerful 3-day event will honor 160 years of freedom, history, and culture while uniting residents and visitors for a meaningful celebration rooted in community and legacy.
Recognized as the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States, Juneteenth marks a time to reflect, uplift, and inspire through education, cultural appreciation, and collective action.
2025 Event Lineup:
Thursday, June 19 – Freedom Kickoff
- 11:30 a.m. – Serve lunch at Our Daily Bread Ministries
- 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Youth Fun Day on Hickory Street
Friday, June 20 – Community Impact Day
- 9:00 a.m. – Community-Wide Cleanup (All Wards)
- 6:00 p.m. – Evening Block Party featuring music, food, games, line dancing, vendors, and family-friendly fun on the Canton Square
Saturday, June 21 – Freedom in Motion & Resources
- 7:00 a.m. – 5K Freedom Run/Walk (Registration: $30/person or $100/team of 4. Starts and ends at the future site of the H.O.P.E. Center on Canal Street)
- 9:00 a.m. – Free Expungement Clinic at the Baptist Family Life Center
- 11:00 a.m. – Boys/Men & Girls/Women Empowerment Forums at McNeal Elementary School

Sponsors, vendors, and volunteers are welcome and encouraged to participate in this enriching celebration. Proceeds will benefit the Pine Grove Association’s effort to build the H.O.P.E. Center, a multi-use facility that will serve youth, adults, and seniors in the Canton community.
