Canton mayor honors longtime WMGO broadcaster with award

Canton Mayor Tim Scott Taylor has presented the Mayor’s Award to Angra “The Leprechaun” Lewis in recognition of his 35 years of service at WMGO radio.
Lewis, known for his dedication and upbeat presence on the airwaves, has become a familiar and beloved figure in Canton. Taylor said the award is a token of appreciation for Lewis’ contributions to the community and the positive impact he has made over the decades.

“Mr. Lewis has served at WMGO for 35 years with dedication and joy, becoming a familiar and beloved part of Canton’s story,” Taylor said. “This award is a small token of appreciation for his many years of service and the positive impact he has made in our community.”
