Layla Garrett awarded Canton Gospel Scholarship

Layla Garrett has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Canton Gospel Music Association, the group recently announced.

Garrett, a 2025 graduate of Ridgeland High School, has studied music with support from the association for more than seven years. She plans to attend William Carey University in Hattiesburg.

This is the second scholarship the association has presented in 2025.
