Canton High improved to 3–1 with a 26–0 home win over Forest Hill on Friday, Sept. 19, recording its first shutout of the season and building momentum heading into region play. The Tigers host Holmes County Central on Friday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. SI+1
The victory capped a two-week stretch in which Canton’s offense and defense both trended up. Eight days earlier, the Tigers rolled past Murrah, 42–6, behind a multi-score night from senior Mississippi State commit Jayden Cration, who was later recognized in a Madison County roundup of top performers.
Canton’s schedule tightens from here. After Holmes County Central, the Tigers open a run of region games at Callaway (Oct. 9), home vs. Neshoba Central (Oct. 17), at Ridgeland (Oct. 24), home vs. Greenville (Oct. 31) and at Warren Central (Nov. 6).
