The streets of Canton will come alive with color and community spirit on Saturday, November 1, as Our Daily Bread Ministries hosts its annual “Stamping Out Hunger in Color” 5K Walk/Run.
The event will kick off at 313 West Franklin Street in downtown Canton. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m., and the race officially starts at 8:00 a.m. Participants can run or walk the 5K course while supporting a cause that directly helps local families in need.
Supporting a Mission of Hope
The 5K Color Vibe Walk/Run raises funds to support Our Daily Bread Ministries, a nonprofit organization that provides daily hot meals and food delivery to low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals throughout the Canton community.
Each week, the organization serves more than 300 meals on-site and delivers over 500 meals to residents who rely on their services. Proceeds from the event help sustain and expand these vital programs.

A Colorful Way to Give Back
Theresa Kelly-Reed, Executive Director of Our Daily Bread Ministries, said the 5K is more than a race — it’s a way to bring the community together while making a real difference.
“One person can make a difference and influence the course of human events,” Kelly-Reed said. “Every step taken helps us feed one mouth at a time.”
Whether walking, running, or simply wearing the event T-shirt, residents are encouraged to take part in this year’s Stamping Out Hunger in Color 5K to help bring hope, meals, and kindness to neighbors in need.
