Canton Elementary School recently announced Ms. Leneisha Pendleton as the 2025–26 Parent of the Year. School officials say she is being honored for her outstanding dedication, support and involvement in the school community.
Ms. Pendleton serves as the president of Canton Elementary School’s PTO. Under her leadership, the PTO’s first fundraiser raised nearly $10,000.
The school recognized her strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, which she uses to motivate families, manage meetings and support school events.
Ms. Pendleton is also a co-owner of Little Tots Learning Center in Canton. The center serves children and the community through events such as annual Autism Awareness programs, the first Autism Prom in 2025, and a Breast Cancer Awareness pumpkin project displayed at City Hall. The learning center also participates in the Canton High School Homecoming parade, winning multiple first-place float awards.
Ms. Pendleton is described as a dynamic parent who is loved by the entire CES family. School officials noted, “Your commitment makes a difference in the lives of our scholars and staff every day!”
