The Canton Academy Men’s basketball team is off to a slower start this season, opening up with a 2-4 record. After a big overtime win against Central Hinds Academy, 45-43 before the break, the team looks to ride with that momentum into the New Year.
In a game Canton Academy trailed by three heading into the fourth quarter, the team held Central Hinds to just 8 points, before going on to get the job done in the overtime period. Just 6 games into the season, and 2 games under .500, the team has a big opportunity to grab their 3rd win of the season against a Porter’s Chapel Academy team that is yet to record a win.
Following that game on the 13th of January, the team will head to Discovery Christian on the 15th of January.
