G.A. Carmichael Health Center, Red Cross assist residents after ice storm

G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center partnered with the American Red Cross of Mississippi to assist residents affected by a recent ice storm that impacted communities across the state.

The collaborative effort provided blankets, cots, generators and other essential supplies to individuals and families in need. Officials said the response reflected a shared commitment to supporting communities during times of hardship.


Health center leaders expressed appreciation for the cooperation and leadership of community partners who helped make the relief effort possible, noting that collaboration plays a key role in creating meaningful impact.


Volunteers included April Jones (American Red Cross), Candice Bush, Pickens Police Chief Joe Davis, Alderman Tucker, Alderman Edwards, William Banks, G.A. Carmichael Director of Facilities, Tyler Payton, G.A. Maintenance Crew, Bryson Stevenson, Mr. George Jones Maintenance Crew and Pickens Mayor Edwards.
