Canton High School standout Shamira Morton has been named a nominee for the prestigious McDonald’s All-American Game, one of the highest honors in high school basketball.
Morton joins Sydnei Barber of West Harrison and Eva Young of Ridgeland as Mississippi nominees for the nationally recognized game, which showcases the top high school basketball players in the country.
The McDonald’s All-American Game highlights elite student-athletes for their performance on the court as well as their achievements in the classroom and community. Nomination places Morton among an elite group of players considered for selection to compete on the national stage.
Morton’s recognition brings pride to Canton High School and the broader Canton community as she continues to represent the city through her athletic accomplishments.
