Special to The Canton News
Students in Coach Moseley’s Human Anatomy and Physiology class at Canton Academy are getting a hands-on look at the cardiovascular system.
The class recently dissected porcine, or pig, hearts as part of their study of human anatomy. Because pig hearts are closely similar to human hearts, the lab gave students a real-world view of the heart’s structure and function.
The exercise allowed students to identify major components of the heart and better understand how the cardiovascular system works. School officials said the activity provided an engaging, up-close learning experience that connected classroom instruction with practical application.
