District Attorney Bubba Bramlett announced today that Kenderius Marquise Bess, 32, pled guilty to two counts of trafficking of methamphetamine in Madison County Circuit Court. He was sentenced to serve fifteen years in Mississippi Department of Corrections without the possibility of early release or parole.

During April and May 2025, the Gluckstadt Police Department, working with a confidential informant made multiple drug buys from Bess. On one occasion, Bess sold the confidential informant two thousand dosage units of methamphetamine. On another, Bess sold five thousand pills containing methamphetamine to the informant. Bess was later stopped by Gluckstadt PD for a traffic offense. He gave officers consent to search his vehicle, and they discovered over 11,000 methamphetamine pills in the trunk of the car.

District Attorney Bubba Bramlett stated: “Gluckstadt Police Department did an incredible job getting over 18,000 dosage units of methamphetamine off the streets. Mr. Bess was selling large volumes of dangerous controlled substances with no regard to who could get hurt. And because of that, he will spend every day of the next fifteen years in prison. We do not tolerate drug dealers in Madison and Rankin Counties.”
