Leaders at the Canton Career Center highlighted their diverse Career and Technical Education programs during a tour for ninth-grade students from Canton High School.
CCC Director Michael Ellis encouraged students to consider enrolling in courses aligned with their interests in career and technical fields.
The center offers a range of specialized programs designed to equip students with practical skills across various industries. Programs include multimedia technology, where students explore digital media production; automotive service technology, focused on vehicle maintenance and repair; and collision repair, which teaches automotive bodywork techniques.
Additional offerings include construction and carpentry, providing hands-on experience in building and craftsmanship; engineering and robotics, which emphasize design and programming; and health science, preparing students for careers in medical and health-related fields.
Law and public safety courses introduce students to the criminal justice system and careers in law enforcement. Work-based learning opportunities allow students to gain practical experience through jobs, internships and partnerships with local businesses.
Through these programs, the Canton Career Center aims to prepare students for successful futures across a variety of professional fields.
