Canton Academy recently received an investment from Build Mississippi aimed at expanding hands-on learning opportunities for students interested in skilled trades.

The initiative will provide students with practical experience and training in fields such as carpentry, construction and HVAC, helping prepare them for career pathways after graduation.

Build Mississippi works to increase awareness and access to careers in the skilled trades, equipping students with knowledge and industry-relevant skills.

School officials said the program will allow students to gain valuable experience that can lead to future employment opportunities.
