Shaw recognized for service

Retired Colonel Fred Shaw of Canton was recently recognized by members of the 112th Military Police Battalion, MS Army National Guard, when he was presented with the “Legacy Award.”  

Shaw was presented with the award for his continuing support to the unit after his retirement.  

He served in various positions within the unit for a number of years, culminating with his assignment as the battalion commander from 1996-98.
