Canton Public School District (CPSD) employees recently participated in a professional development session focused on strengthening communication, professionalism, teamwork and collaboration between the CPSD Office of Child Nutrition and Elior staff to better support student success and promote a positive work environment.

The training was led through an invitation from Dr. Pamela S. Self, executive director of special programs, who invited Ms. Melinda Heath, supervisor of workforce manufacturing development at Nissan USA, to present a session titled “Interpersonal Relationships in the Workforce.”

Participants engaged in discussions and activities designed to strengthen workplace relationships, enhance communication skills and improve professional interactions across departments. Organizers said the level of engagement reflected a shared commitment to collaboration and service.

The session also provided practical strategies aimed at cultivating a positive workplace culture while advancing the district’s goal of serving CPSD students effectively and efficiently.
