The Canton Tigers continued their undefeated start to the season over the last two weeks, picking up victories over Murrah and Forest Hill to improve to 4-0.
Canton started the stretch with a strong defensive performance against Murrah on Sept. 11. The Tigers held the Mustangs to just six points in a 21-6 victory, giving Canton its third straight win to open the season.
The Tigers followed that performance with another win Thursday night, defeating Forest Hill 42-19 on the road. Canton’s offense got back to the high-scoring form it showed in the first two weeks of the season while the defense continued its strong stretch.
After finishing 4-6 a year ago, Canton has already matched its win total from last season through just four games.
The Tigers will look to remain undefeated Friday night when they travel to Holmes County Central. Canton enters the matchup 4-0 and has scored 166 points through its first four games.
