Canton Academy Puts Together Three-Game Winning Streak

Canton Academy continued its strong response to an opening-week loss with a dominant 39-0 victory over Manchester Academy on Sept. 11.

The Panthers entered the matchup with two straight wins after defeating East Rankin Academy 20-14 and Indianola Academy 22-20. Against Manchester, Canton Academy left no doubt, scoring 39 points while recording its first shutout of the season.

The win improved Canton Academy to 3-1 and extended its winning streak to three games. The Panthers have turned things around quickly after opening the year with a 42-0 loss against Tri-County Academy.

Canton Academy was scheduled to play Winston Academy on Sept. 18, but a verified final score had not been reported in the sources available as of Sunday.

The Panthers are scheduled to return home Friday night against Kirk Academy before traveling to Leake Academy on Oct. 2.
