Parkway Health and Rehab celebrated a milestone with Nell Waggner, who turned 100 years old on September 10.

Waggner celebrated her birthday surrounded by family, friends and the Parkway Health and Rehab team. At her request, the celebration featured a Western hoedown theme, with family members and staff dressing accordingly.

Waggner has spent her life devoted to her family and hard work. As a stay-at-home mother, she also helped on the family farm and worked in the cotton fields, contributing to her family’s livelihood.

Canton Mayor Tim Taylor and Police Chief Eugene Luckett attended the celebration and presented Waggner with an official 100th Birthday Certificate in recognition of her milestone.

The Mississippi Health Care Foundation also honored Waggner with a bouquet of roses, her favorite flowers.

The celebration brought together family, friends and caregivers to recognize Waggner’s century of life and the legacy she has built.
