Canton Lions Club: A brief update

The Canton Lions are happy to welcome a new member, Cynthia Allen. 

Recent programs have included Lauren Scheel, Chief Operation Officer of Madison County Economic Development Authority, who presented an overview of new economic activities and summarized the year-end sales tax figures for Madison County; Yahnielle Shavers, daughter of Lions James and Shirley Shavers, who was visiting her parents from California, talked about her life as a marketing manager for the Kim Kardashien Company; Reverend Nolan Whitehead, Pastor of Center Terrace Baptist Church, who talked to the Lions and challenged everyone to look for opportunities to share God’s love with others.  

Planning is underway to host a fall golf tournament as a fundraiser for the Lions, according to President Moses Thompson.
