Burke and Goodloe named Royalty

Ainsley Belle Burke and Marcus Goodloe were recently named Canton Academy (CA) Prom King and Queen for 2022. 

Burke is a member of the Varsity Cheer Squad, Softball and Track teams and a Diamond Girl for Baseball. At this year’s Who’s Who ceremony, she was nominated for “Best Laugh” and voted “Best Dancer” by her peers. She also placed in the “Top 10” for the beauty portion.

After graduation, Ainsley Belle plans to attend Mississippi State University. Belle said some of her favorite memories include, “all the fun field trips and making videos with Mr. Millet, working after school and summers with Mrs. Judy, and of course the Friday Pep-Rally’s during the fall football season.

Goodloe will attend Co-Lin Community College in the fall to play football and study kinesiology. He plans to continue his studies at the University of Southern Mississippi and then pursue a career as an athletic trainer. Goodloe was one of three nominees this year for Mr. Canton Academy and has won many sports awards in his time at Canton Academy, including “Most Athletic.” He says the thing he will miss most about school is his friends and the memories he has made with all his teammates over the past years. His favorite CA memory is “making it to the state championship when everybody doubted us.”
