Meteorologist Scottlin Williams visits CNGA Scholars

Canton Ninth Grade Academy scholars enjoyed learning more about the weather and careers in broadcasting from WJTV meteorologist Scottlin Williams. 

Williams, a graduate of Mississippi State, shared her expertise with scholars about everything from the educational requirements for a career in meteorology to the salary range for this profession. Scholars say they were excited to learn about Scottlin’s storm-chasing adventures and how she prepared herself for this career by taking higher-level math and science courses while in school. She also encouraged students to chase their dreams by believing they, too, can achieve if they work hard.

CNGA scholars thanked Scottlin by presenting her with a certificate of appreciation for taking time out of her busy schedule to inspire them.
