Special to The Canton News

As the summer heats up, the Canton Lions are busy planning the next fundraiser, a 4 Golfer Scramble Tournament at the Canton Country Club, 183 Country Club Drive, Canton.

The funds obtained from these events are used to help with glasses for those in need, for screening student eyesight, scholarships, and funding cleanup events around town.

The Lions need all golfers to come and enjoy a day of fun while supporting a very worthy cause.  Registration cost is $125 per person, and those registering individually will be paired with a team.

The cost for a team of four to register is $500.  Local businesses will be getting calls and visits asking everyone to serve as Lions sponsors. The day will begin at 11 am with check-in and lunch followed by a shotgun start at 1 pm. To get a registration form or additional information contact any Lion (Mark Hopkins, Golf Tournament Chairman),  or email [email protected]

Great prizes will be given in the following categories:  Hole in One, Longest Drive, Closest to pin and first and second team winners will.  President Moses Thompson said, “Thank you in advance for supporting your local Lions Club on August 19, 2022.”
