The buzz around town is that hiring help is a bigger issue now than during the pandemic last year.  I am seeing help wanted signs at Walmart, Tractor Supply and at most restaurants.  Deborah Martin, President with Service Specialist, Ltd said that she has approximately 100 jobs for which she hasn’t been able to find an employee match.  Restaurants report challenges in hiring waitstaff and kitchen help.  06/23/2021 08:00 AM

State Board of Education Seeks Public Input on Policies to Resume In-Person Schooling as Primary Teaching Mode
The Mississippi State Board of Education (SBE) is seeking public comment on two policies that call for all school districts to resume in-person instruction as the primary mode of teaching starting in the 2021-22 school year.
